Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of usdot.co and the services provided by DOT Compliance Company (“the Company”). By using this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Nature of Services

DOT Compliance Company is a private, FMCSA-registered filing agency. The Company is not a government agency and is not affiliated with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), the U.S. Department of Transportation, or any state regulatory body.

Services offered include the preparation and submission of regulatory filings on behalf of motor carriers, including but not limited to MCS-150 biennial updates, UCR registration, BOC-3 filings, IFTA returns, IRS Form 2290, and related compliance services. By placing an order, the carrier authorizes DOT Compliance Company to act as a filing agency for the specified service.

These services can be obtained directly and at no cost through the applicable government agency (FMCSA, IRS, state DMVs, etc.). Use of DOT Compliance Company's services is optional and not required by law.

2. Accuracy of Information

Carriers are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current information when placing an order. DOT Compliance Company will file based on information provided. The Company is not liable for rejected filings, penalties, or errors resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the carrier.

3. Payment and Fees

Fees for each service are displayed prior to purchase. By completing checkout, you authorize the charge to be processed. Prices are in U.S. dollars.

For services involving government fees (e.g., UCR, IFTA, IRS Form 2290 HVUT), those government-set fees are separate from the Company's service fee and are paid directly to the applicable agency unless otherwise stated. The Company's fee covers preparation and filing only.

Payment is processed securely through PaySimple, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Card numbers are never stored by DOT Compliance Company.

4. Refund and Cancellation Policy

If a filing cannot be completed due to circumstances within the Company's control, a full refund of the service fee will be issued. Refunds are not available once a filing has been submitted to the applicable agency.

To request a refund or cancel an order prior to submission, contact contact@dotcompliancecompany.com with your order number. Cancellation requests must be made before the filing is submitted.

5. Compliance Responsibility

Ultimate responsibility for compliance with FMCSA regulations, IRS requirements, and all applicable federal and state laws rests with the motor carrier. DOT Compliance Company provides filing assistance — it does not provide legal advice. Carriers with complex compliance questions should consult a licensed transportation attorney or compliance consultant.

The Company does not guarantee that filings will be approved by the applicable agency. Approval decisions are made exclusively by FMCSA, the IRS, state agencies, or other regulatory bodies.

6. Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are provided as general guidance and are not guarantees. Processing times may vary based on agency workloads, holidays, and other factors outside the Company's control. Orders are processed during business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Mountain Time.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DOT Compliance Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or services, including but not limited to lost profits, out-of-service penalties, or revenue loss resulting from regulatory actions by FMCSA or other agencies.

The Company's total liability for any claim arising from a service shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific service.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on usdot.co, including text, graphics, logos, and code, is the property of DOT Compliance Company and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Reproduction or unauthorized use of site content is prohibited.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the services provided shall be resolved in the courts of Ada County, Idaho.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of this website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
